Wind energy to be created using street lights

An IT company in Scotland has joined forces with a green technology firm to develop wind turbines that attach to lampposts and feed metered, clean energy directly into the National Grid. As a result, each suitable street light conversion could save half a ton of carbon being released into the atmosphere.
