California-based company Ubiquitous Technology has developed groundbreaking transparent renewable energy sources that could transform solar power. Their innovative glass technology absorbs and converts invisible ultraviolet and infrared light into electricity while allowing visible light to pass through. This represents a significant advancement in renewable energy technology.

Although these solar windows won’t replace rooftop photovoltaic panels anytime soon, they offer the potential to generate up to 30% of a building’s power needs.
